“The Sacramento Bee reported this week that Mr. Brown said, “I’ve never seen a CEQA exemption that I don’t like.” We understand why. The Draconian restrictions in the 42-year-old law, particularly the aggressive way they are used by environmental lawyers in court actions, lengthen the time and increase the costs of development projects that they don’t kill outright, and restrict the property rights of many Californians.”
